I get a lot of grief for washing my Jeep. Most folks say Jeeps are meant to be dirty. While I agree, they should also be cleaned for many reasons. I believe in a hands on do-it-yourself-up-close-and-personal wash is the best. It is the best way to wash your Jeep because then you get a closer look at your Jeep and you will notice any problems.
I was able to do just that during my Jeeps first hand wash after spending the winter coated in salt, grime and dirt. I noticed some imperfections in the vinyl soft top window. These little imperfections covered the whole back window.
I decided to take it to the dealer to figure out what I could do about it. The great folks at Adams Jeep of Maryland suggested I take the windows off and lay them flat in the hot sun for the afternoon. So I did just that and guess what...
those little imperfections are gone.
So every once in a while break our your bucket and hose, and give your Jeep a do-it-yourself-up-close-and-personal hand wash.
