I get a lot of grief for washing my Jeep. Most folks say Jeeps are meant to be dirty. While I agree, they should also be cleaned for many reasons. I believe in a hands on do-it-yourself-up-close-and-personal wash is the best. It is the best way to wash your Jeep because then you get a closer look at your Jeep and you will notice any problems.I was able to do just that during my Jeeps first hand wash after spending the winter coated in salt, grime and dirt. I noticed some imperfections in the vinyl soft top window. These little imperfections covered the whole back window.

I decided to take it to the dealer to figure out what I could do about it. The great folks at Adams Jeep of Maryland suggested I take the windows off and lay them flat in the hot sun for the afternoon. So I did just that and guess what...
those little imperfections are gone.
So every once in a while break our your bucket and hose, and give your Jeep a do-it-yourself-up-close-and-personal hand wash.
