After my recent issues of the dinging and flashing of my dash on my Jeep Wrangler, I decided to get my own code reader.
I bought the Maxiscan OBD II Code Reader. It was less than $20. Unfortunately once the code reader arrived, the issue in my Jeep Wrangler was solved. I was going to have to wait to test it out.
Then the neighbors came calling asking to use my code reader. Yep, I was finally able to be the one to help with vehicle issues.
So we plugged it in, and were able to figure out the issue in my neighbor's vehicle. The code read 0335 which the manual stated it was a crankshaft issue.
The Maxiscan Code Reader is a pretty simple device to use. It will come in handy if those dings and flashes return in my Jeep. In the meantime it is nice to know that I can help a neighbor out!
