When I first bought my Jeep I thought it would be a fun vehicle to get around in. What I didn't realize was ~~ how truly it would change my way of thinking ~~ My Jeep isn't just my mode of transportation anymore. It has now become a change in my lifestyle.
My Jeep lifestyle is still growing and changing. At times I get frustrated trying to find others who live near me with the same desire to "Jeep". I have found several online Jeep friends, but none that live near. It is also hard to find other women my age living close with the same "Jeep" likes. So -- as I scour Social Media I have come across a new up and coming website that looks to be promising for my search.
Yes, there are a lot of Jeep Forums out there. I have checked out a few of them, but I just don't seem to be having any luck finding what I'm looking for. I guess I need to be a little more patient.
I contacted Renae and Steve, the couple behind www.Jeepedin.com to find out what is different about their website from the other Jeep forums out there and would like to share my Q & A with you. In the meantime I will keep plugging away in my search for Jeep friends.
Steve and I were looking for a one-stop online fun Jeep hangout. A place that had events, groups, pictures, videos and was interactive and fun. We wanted a site that was easy to maneuver and an online place we could mingle with other Jeepers. If we were looking for this, we figured there had to be others wanting the same thing. Then, we started hearing from our single friends, “it would be great if I could meet a girl who Jeeps”, or girls would say “the guys I meet just don’t get that I’m a Jeep girl”. We started thinking there had to be more people looking for a place like this so we created a community to “Unite all Jeepers”.
It’s an online virtual hangout for Jeepers and outdoor enthusiasts. Simply, a place to hang out with other Jeepers, find events and share life. You can meet a new friend, get technical advice, and maybe find that special someone you’ve been looking for! We offer a FREE membership called SPORT and an upgraded membership for less than a cup of java/month called RUBICON with premium benefits.
How do you plan to be different from other Jeep forums?
JI offers more than a technical forum, it’s a place you want to be. A place where you can find events, place classifieds, chat with other Jeepers. Yes, you can get technical knowledge on other forums, but at JI there is much more. One way we wanted our forum area to be different, we wanted it to be easier to read and follow than typical forums. With JI you can create your own private and/or public groups in an easy to follow format.
One significant difference is engagement. JI is very engaged with its site members and social media followers and develops a relationship with fans by listening for what they want and need. We are invested in the members and want to provide value to them in the following ways.
- Blog
- Newsletter
- Giveaways
- Special promotions/discounts
- Celebrating special milestones
What are your long term goals for Jeepedin.com?
Our goal is to become the #1 Jeep online community.
Eventually, we would like to sponsor live JeepedIn events all over the World being very active with the local and world-wide Jeeping communities.
Giving back and being able to make a difference to people and organizations in need.
What kind of time do you commit to Jeepedin.com?
By day, I’m a Social Media Brand Ambassador working at home in business for myself. I’m fortunate that I am able to make my own schedule and adjust my client load. I have to say...JeepedIn has become my FAVORITE client. :)
What kind of Jeep(s) do you have?
We have a black beauty - 2014 Sahara with a 3” lift, Fox Racing Shox and 35” tires. I’ve named her Roxy and bumpers are next!
How do you spend your time in your Jeep?
We are trailblazers on the weekends and grocery getters during the week.
Anything else you would like to share.
We live outside of Phoenix, AZ and have two daughters (12 and 13 years old) and a spoiled 8 year old Golden Retriever named Abby.
