Live Life to the Fullest July 17 2018, 0 Comments

"Live Life To The Fullest" is something I tell myself all the time. I post it all the time as well. It's a pretty vague term that is hard to define. I believe it to mean something different to each individual person. Not everyone needs to skydive or climb Mt. Everest or travel the world to live their life to the fullest.

Are you living your best life?  That's what I am trying to do. It's a work in progress everyday! Some days are easier than others.

When I first got my Jeep Wrangler back in 2013 is when this new adventure began for me. I knew something was missing as I was sleep walking my way through life. So began this adventure I am still on.

I started with finding my passion, getting healthy, and de-cluttering my life. I found my passion, and am still de-cluttering. Just recently after not being happy with the body I saw in the mirror, I am getting back to healthy as I slipped. But isn't it always two steps forward one step back.

I set goals, created a bucket list, and started new hobbies.
Now I am on the next level of Living My Life to The Fullest. Time to look at myself and my life to figure out how to get to the next level. It is always a constant re-evaluation.

Recently, I came across a minimalist article and started down that path. I thought I had gotten rid of the clutter cluttering my home and life, but realized I still have a ways to go.

Minimalism isn't about having less, but getting rid of the stuff that prevents you from doing what you want and love.

"The goal of minimalism is not to own as few things as possible… nor is the purpose to be constantly chasing less and less. The goal of minimalism is to be living your life centered on your passions and values."

So on to the next level... What that is I'm still working on it but will keep you posted.

This blog gives you 101 Ways to Life Your Life to the Fullest.

It gets pretty deep if you want to go that route. Here are 5 of the ways I picked out that I have been working on for myself.

Live every day on a fresh new start. Don’t be held back by what happened yesterday, the day before, the week before, the year before, or even decades ago. Life is short, so live in the present moment.

Be true to who you are.Stop trying to please other people or to be someone else. It’s better to be an original version of yourself rather than be an exact duplicate of someone else.

Quit complaining.Don’t be like the howling dog, always howling and never doing anything. Stop complaining about your problems and work on them instead.

Rather than think “what if,” think “next time”. Don’t think about the things you can’t change (namely what has happened and other people’s thoughts) or unhappy things, because these are disempowering. Instead focus on the things you can action on. That’s the most constructive thing you can do in any situation.

Let go of unhappy past. This means past grievances, heartbreaks, sadness, disappointments, and anger.
